Judging Venue and Schedule 2026-02-02

The judging venue and schedule are announced as follows.

Notice of Change in Submission Venue 2026-02-02

Due to a change in the submission of works venue from 'Hwaseong City Office, Cultural Facilities Division' to 'Seoyeon Ieumteo', we hereby provide the updated schedule and location details below.

Notice on Cancellation of On-site Briefing 2025-12-09

Please be advised that no on-site briefing session will be held for this competition.

The project site is open to the public at all times, and participants may visit and conduct a site inspection individually.

Final Selection of 5 Teams for the International Invited Design Competition 2025-10-27

We are pleased to announce the final five teams invited to participate in the International Invited Design Competition for Construction of Hwaseong Museum of Art :

This invited design competition attracted talented architects of diverse nationalities and generations from both Korea and abroad, demonstrating the high level of interest and architectural potential surrounding the establishment of the Hwaseong City Museum of Art.

Out of 25 applicant teams, two domestic teams and one international team were selected as invited architects.
Unsangdong Architects, Seogoo Heo Architects + JU Architects & Planners, Archiworkshop + 2Portzamparc were selected through the Open Call for Nomination, while the other two teams were recommended by the Steering Committee.

We wish all participants the very best of outcomes.

Q&A 2025-10-17

We hereby announce the answers to the inquires received regarding the Invitation to submit RFQs for the International Design Competition for 「Construction of Hwaseong Museum of Art」, as attached.

Registration Guide 2025-09-29

The participant registration procedure is as follows.

1. Registration Application
Sign up and login → Go to ‘Competition – Call for Entries’ or ‘My Page’ → ‘Download Registration Form’ → Complete and upload the downloaded file [Form 1] → Await administrator approval (the status will show ‘Pending Approval’).
* Approval usually takes 2–3 business days and can be checked on the website. No separate notification of the approval result will be sent.

2-1. Upon Approval
Login → Go to My Page → The registration status will show ‘Approval Completed’ → The ‘Submit Inquiry Form’ and ‘Submission of RFQ’ buttons will be activated.

2-2. If Rejected
Login → Go to My Page → The registration status will show ‘Rejected’ → The ‘Registration Application’ button will be reactivated, and the registration procedure in Step 1 must be completed again.

* As registration approval may take 2–3 days, please complete your registration before October 22.
* On the submission deadline, October 26, site traffic may cause delays. Submissions cannot be accepted after the deadline under any circumstances. Please submit your materials in advance.
* Incomplete submissions may be rejected. For inquiries, please contact: hwaseong-compe@gmail.com
